In collaboration with New Hope, Gino Gamboa, Afro Peruvian drum maker and Remo facilitator, and our Community Initiatives Manager, Heidi Parker, led families through an experiential journey of the benefits of art making, sound, and drumming for managing grief and loss.
This interactive session included making a rhythm instrument, using movement and healing rhythms as a vehicle for expression, connecting with others in a supportive environment, and paying tribute to loved ones.
