Experience the intrinsic power of restorative rhythm in this highly experiential, online session utilizing simple household items or hand drums. We’ll learn a variety of healing meditation techniques—from the four healing rhythms of nature to the grounding rhythm of the heartbeat—to center, calm, and cultivate resilience as we continue to navigate tumultuous times.
This self-care session is open and welcoming to all; no previous drumming experience is necessary.

Instructor Bio
Rose Lape facilitates movement and drumming experiences as a certified Pilates, Gyrotonic Expansion System®, Tai Chi instructor, trained drum circle facilitator in Beat the Odds®, and certified Rhythms for Healing facilitator. Rose integrates principles from her work as a dance educator, has a passion to inspire curiosity as well as create movement and rhythm experiences accessible for every body. Her 27+ years of serving students of all ages and abilities continue to bless her with lessons in love, humility, compassion, and grace. Rose’s passion lies in offering meaningful experiences that return into our lives a balanced and sound mind, body, heart, and spirit to support our life’s journey.
Materials - What to Bring
One pleasant, soothing, and/or joyful-sounding percussion instrument, such as:
- A hand drum (Buffalo, Frame, Djembe, etc.)
- A household item that can be used as a percussion instrument: pillow, book, binder, 2.5-gallon plastic water bottle, large round food storage container, metal or plastic mixing bowl, paint bucket, table, or desk
